THE HARVEST & THE SOWING
Almanac's bi-annual micro-residency and mixed bill showcase offers a diverse array of Philadelphia-based artists a chance to share their newest and freshest works for the community.
Each fall and each spring, Almanac's ensemble works for 15-20 hours over four days with a unique guest artist to create the first draft of a new work of performance. Guest artists have included Martita Abril, Josh McIlvain, Sam Tower, Vanita Kalra, and Lauren Feldman, Shizu Homma, Rosanna Gamson. This new performance becomes the center of a night of performance from the best of Almanac’s community of peer artists, as well as other projects from company members. The evening includes a free themed cocktail and ends with a collective folk dance.
The Equinox Series has taken a hiatus during the pandemic- stay tuned for updates on the future of our Harvest and Sowing events!
